The Acolens Reference Chart
The calibration of popular lens models has already been taken care of.
You can find these standard profiles in the lens library of both
software versions,
and you will achieve excellent results with them.
However, if you should work with special lens models (antique, rare or unique)
or wish to further optimize your results through calibrating your lenses yourself,
you can do so with the Acolens Reference Chart.
You will find the specific procedure for generating individual lens profiles in the
software‘s manual. In brief, pictures of the Acolens Reference Chart are taken in a
studio light environment with a perpendicular orientation of the lens towards the
Chart and varying aperture and focal length settings. After importing the images
into Acolens the system generates a correction algorithm which is stored as an
individual lens profile in the software‘s lens library. The correction of images
then simply requires the application of the according lens profiles.
If you only have a rare or occasional need for individual calibrations,
we offer generating such profiles through ourselves or certified dealers
as a service. A complete individual profile for a lens at all aperture-
and focal length settings costs $ 84,- (plus shipping cost). For more
information please use our support.
